Feed Preparation: The crude herbal extract (after extraction and filtration) is pre-processed to remove suspended impurities and large particles, adjusted to an appropriate temperature and viscosity, ensuring smooth feeding and avoiding blockage during the concentration process.
Vacuum Environment Establishment: The concentration chamber is evacuated to form a negative pressure environment (-0.06 to -0.095 MPa), which lowers the boiling point of the herbal extract, enabling low-temperature evaporation and concentration without damaging heat-sensitive active ingredients.
Gentle Heating & Evaporation: The pre-treated herbal extract is evenly distributed in the heating chamber, heated by a jacketed heating system with precise temperature control. Under vacuum conditions, the solvent (mainly water or ethanol) in the extract boils and evaporates at a low temperature (40–65°C), forming secondary steam.
Vapor Condensation & Solvent Recovery: The secondary steam generated during evaporation enters the condenser, where it is cooled and condensed into liquid solvent (pure water or ethanol), which can be recycled for reuse in the herbal extraction process, reducing resource waste and production costs.
Concentration & Discharge: The herbal extract is continuously concentrated in the vacuum environment until the required concentration is reached, then continuously discharged. The whole process is closed-loop, avoiding contamination of the extract and ensuring product purity.
Gentle Low-Temperature Concentration: Operating temperature of 40–65°C under vacuum conditions, effectively avoiding thermal degradation of heat-sensitive active ingredients in herbal extracts, maximizing the retention of flavonoids, saponins, essential oils, and other effective components, ensuring high product quality.
