Our Double Effect External Circulation Vacuum Evaporator is a high-efficiency concentration system designed for processing heat-sensitive, high-viscosity, and scaling-prone materials. By utilizing two evaporation stages operating at different temperature and pressure levels, the system reuses the secondary steam generated in the first effect as the heating source for the second effect. The external circulation design ensures the material flows through the heating chamber in a forced turbulent state, effectively preventing scaling and deposition on the tube walls. This combination delivers superior energy efficiency, high throughput, and gentle processing—making it the optimal choice for enterprises balancing cost control and product quality.

Working Principle (Simplified)

  1. Feed Preprocessing: The raw liquid (herbal extract, fruit juice, salt water, etc.) is pre-filtered to remove suspended solids and impurities, adjusted to an appropriate temperature and viscosity, and pumped into the first effect evaporator.

  2. First Effect Evaporation: The liquid in the first effect is heated by fresh steam (0.4-0.8 MPa) in the heating tubes. Under vacuum conditions (-0.04 to -0.07 MPa), the solvent evaporates, generating secondary steam. The external circulation pump forces the liquid to flow rapidly through the tubes, preventing scaling.

  3. MVR Vapor Recompression (Optional): The secondary steam from the first effect can be compressed by an MVR (Mechanical Vapor Recompression) system to increase its temperature and pressure, serving as the heating source for the second effect—maximizing energy savings.

  4. Second Effect Evaporation: The pre-concentrated liquid from the first effect enters the second effect, where it is heated by the recycled secondary steam (or fresh steam for start-up). Operating at a lower temperature (-0.07 to -0.095 MPa), the liquid undergoes further concentration. The external circulation ensures uniform heating and prevents crystal deposition.

  5. Condensation & Discharge: The secondary steam from the second effect is condensed into pure water in the condenser. The fully concentrated liquid is continuously discharged to the storage tank, while the condensed water is recycled or discharged up to standard.
